Paul Travelled to Batam, Indonesia, for BHP Billiton Petroleum’s Macedon Proejct to meet with McDermott to kick-off the fabrication of subsea equipment. Paul also met with the Marine Welding group to discuss the development of the offshore pipeline welding procedures.
Michael and Fred assisted Sibelco with third party condition assessment of a lime kiln.
Michael again assisted Worsley Alumina, this time for an assessment of the condition of their #3 Lurgi style Fluid bed calciner, scheduled for a March 2012 shutdown.
Michael was also retained by Iluka Resources at Capel, to provide third party assessment of some kiln shotcreting trials at site.
RefMet commenced an inspection assignment with Tek-Ocean for the Huski Lewan project. Howard is overseeing the manufacture of completion tooling at the Cameron facility in Deer Park.
Fred is providing engineering inspection and Fitness for Service work at the Mobil Altona Refinery as part of their 2011 maintenance shut down.
Michael presented a technical paper (co-authored with Paul), at the annual Feuerfest Kolloquium in Aachen, Germany after completing an assignment for Worsley Alumina regarding their #4 calciner shut.
Paul has been assisting AGR Asia pacific and Reliance India Limited with some subsea materials issues.
RefMet commenced an assignment with Origin Energy for their Yolla A MLE Project. Fred visited Singapore to conduct an extensive fabrication quality assurance audit of the installation aid fabrication vendor.

Paul and Fred attended the 2nd International Symposium on CO2 Storage and Transportation, in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK.
Michael held his one day Refractories training seminar at the Trade Winds Hotel, Fremantle, as an adjunct to his visit to Worsely Alumina regarding their upcoming #4 Calciner shut.
RefMet condusted a materials engineering support contract with BHP Billiton Petroleum for their Macedon Development fosusing on third party inspection of drilling tools.
Fred conducted some in-service inspection and supervision of piping / instrument modifications for the Integro Foods facility in West Footscray, Victoria.
RefMet commenced an inspection assignment for PTTEP Australasia. The assignment involves the refurbishment of running tools to be used in the De-completion of the Jabiru and Challis fields. This work is being managed by Paul and assisted by Howard, and involved some welding procedure reviews of drill riser equipment.
