Michael Walton
Michael Walton is Principal Consultant. Semi-retired, Michael has over 40 years experience in the Process industries, spent in Production, Technical Services and Consulting. He holds a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from London University, and an MBA from RMIT. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Refractories Engineers He is currently the Treasurer of the Australian Branch of the IRE. Michael is a registered PEngQ.
Wayne Wright
Dr Wayne Wright fills the role of Managing Director, and brings over 30 years of experience to RefMet. This experience has been accumulated with Refractories’ suppliers, a high profile consulting position with CSIRO, and more lately, in a senior production support role with Rio Tinto Aluminium. Wayne has an Hons Degree from the UNSW in Ceramics, and a PhD from Monash. He is a Member of the Institute of Refractories Engineers, a member of the local Branch executive, and is their nominee to Standards Australia’s MN-07 steering committee.. He is also a certified inspector to the API 936 standard.
