Michael conducted a 3 day training course around the API 936 standard at the Marriott Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, for Uni Strategic of Singapore.

Michael was retained by Ban Phuc Nickel Mines to be their technical liaison with Outotec, (Ausmelt Division), Melbourne during a process study for a potential nickel smelter in Vietnam

Michael attended the ALTA 2013 Cu-Ni-Co conference in Perth where he presented a paper entitled “ The RKEF process for the treatment of Laterites”.

Michael presented his one day refractory training seminar at both Iluka Ltd, and BHP Billiton-Worsely Alumina, near Bunbury.

Michael arranged and supervised a strategic review of materials for use at Redbank power. This included initial selection of materials, preparation of samples, test work at CSIRO, and analysis of results via a technical report.

Paul continued with on-going support to the Esso KTT project.

Michael has been retained by Redbank Power for strategic repair studies.

Michael supported Redbank Power with maintenance shutdown contractor supervision and inspections support.

Michael attended the annual Australian Foundry Institute conference in Coogee, NSW, as the official IRE delegate.

Fred provided technical and engineering support at the Ecogen Newport Power Station during their maintenance shut down.

Paul carried out an assessment of sour service compatibility of a coiled tubing deployed electric submersible pump system for an oil platform.

Michael was retained by the owners, for a further stage of studies of a Vietnamese nickel plant upgrade.

Paul conducted an inspection of pipeline to assess the workmanship to ASTM A333 Grade 6 on behalf of MRC SPF and the Mortlake Gas pipeline connection project.

Michael was elected the President of the Institute of Refractory Engineers – Australian Chapter.

Paul and Fred completed a metallurgical condition assessment of a Fosters group brewing vessel.

Paul continued support to BHP Billiton Petroleum’s Macedon Project with time offshore on the McDermott Derrick and Pipelay Barge 30.

Michael provided the RefMet Refractory training seminar in New Zealand to a number of attendees from various companies.

Michael was retained by an international consultancy for a due diligence study of a Chinese (Guangdong) ferro-nickel plant.

Fred undertook pressure vessels inspections, registration, and commissioning activities associated with the new AMCOR Botany B9 Paper Machine.

Fred had a number of assignments including an Ammonia Vessel assessment, engineering support for various fabricators, and in-service inspection for a number of Victorian and interstate plant operators.

Fred assisted a local fabricator with a G-Pan upgrade for Sugar Australia

Paul was offshore assisting BHP Billiton Petroleum with preparations for the Macedon Project, aboard the McDermott DB30 derrick and pipelay barge.
